10 alleged members of San Diego County Drug Trafficking Ring arrested

San Diego (CNS) – Ten alleged members of a drug trafficking with San Diego County faced federal charges on Friday after a coordinated dismantling of the law enforcement authorities earlier this week, authorities said.

On Thursday, more than 115 federal, state and local law enforcement officials earned search options in Nestor, Palm City and Encanto neighborhoods, led to the 10 arrests and seizures of drugs, cash and firearms.

The 10 arrested are among 16 defendants, who are indicted in four separate charges not sealed this week, according to the US Law Office. The six remaining defendants remain largely.

All 16 facial fees related to the distribution of methamphetamine, fentanyl and heroin and laundering of the proceeds with drug trafficking.

Prosecutors said that after a 16-month investigation, it was found that the defendants had distributed drugs across the United States and used Shell companies to launder the money earned from its drug sales.
