JOHRO BARU: Police have arrested three men for stealing electricity to my cryptocurrency.

Johor -Police Chief Commative M. Kumar said a cryptocurrency -mine syndicate was held with the arrest.

He said at least nine rooms were assaulted in Joor Baru, Seri Alam, Kulai and Tangkak on April 22 and 23.

“We grabbed about 87 machines used to my cryptocurrency,” he said, adding that the mining machines were worth RM217,500.

Police also seized mobile phones, laptops, routers and other items from the syndicate.

All three suspects who were in their 40s have since been detained to help with the investigation.

Comm Kumar added that the syndicate has used premises in residential areas and store parties to carry out its activities, resulting in Tenaga Nasional -Loss Loss Total RM1.28mil.

He said police would continue to crack down on such activities and urged the public with information to contact the police hotline on 07-2212999.
